Show Host and Corporate Communications Lead at Afrihood Development Company

Job Description / Responsibilities

• We are looking for experienced and creative Media Hosts and Corporate Communications Lead to serve as presenter and host for all Afrihood media programmes such as reality shows, vox pop, video reels, documentaries, product demonstration, event coverage and representation.
• The candidate would be the face of Afrihood in every public appearance – events or meetings, whether live or recorded.
• He/She will also be in charge of developing and implementing communications plans for Afrihood.
• The candidate should possess necessary expertise in developing good course content and training materials for the company.
• He/She must be good training facilitators as they would be in charge of organising training for Afrihood’s companies, and enhancing staff’s communication skills as well as providing feedback and guidance.
• He/She will keep media programmes running to schedule, responding positively and quickly to problems or changes and improvising where necessary.
• He/She will develop and implement marketing and communications campaigns and strategies and monitor their success.

Requirements

• Interested candidates should possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree in any relevant course.
• The candidate should have at least 5 years relevant work experience as a Showbiz Presenter, Communications Strategist, Broadcast Journalist, or Public Relations Manager.
• The candidate must be technologically savvy and have sound judgement to drive communications initiatives, with excellent skills in networking, and relationship-building.
• Candidates must be able to propel Afrihood's image through consistent messaging and strategy as well as develop internal and external communications and marketing strategies.
• Candidates must be good looking but rugged as they would be outdoor most of the times.
• Candidates have to be highly resourceful, creative and able to curate stories around global affairs and trends that our target audience can identify with.
• You must be able to swiftly navigate between being corporate-smart and being street-smart.
• Candidates should possess exceptional oratory skills.
• You must be a good and charismatic training facilitator.
