The Senior Sales Executive will be responsible for driving sales of solar and renewable energy products across the Kano region. The ideal candidate must have strong experience in solar product sales, excellent market knowledge of Northern Nigeria, and a proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute sales strategies to drive adoption of solar products (solar home systems, inverters, batteries, panels, etc.).
Identify and onboard new distributors, installers, resellers, and corporate clients within Kano and neighboring states.
Manage existing accounts and maintain strong business relationships to ensure repeat sales and long-term partnerships.
Conduct market intelligence on pricing, competitor activities, customer needs, and emerging opportunities in the renewable energy sector.
Lead product presentations, demonstrations, and technical discussions for potential clients.
Prepare and submit weekly sales reports, forecasts, and market feedback to management.
Work closely with the technical team to ensure accurate product specifications and successful project delivery.
Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with logistics to ensure timely delivery to partners.
Handle customer complaints professionally and ensure prompt resolution.
Represent the company at renewable energy exhibitions, trainings, and regional industry events.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 5–7 years proven experience in sales of solar or renewable energy products (mandatory).
Strong understanding of solar solutions including panels, inverters, batteries, charge controllers, installations, and after-sales requirements.
Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed revenue targets.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
Strong network within Kano’s renewable energy market (installers, dealers, distributors, NGOs, and SMEs).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Ability to work independently and manage extensive field activities.
Fluent in English; Hausa proficiency is a strong advantage
Preferred Skills
Technical background or certification in solar/renewable energy.
Experience with large projects (mini-grids, institutional solar, commercial solar installations).
