    Senior Sales and Marketing Manager

    SUMMARY

    • The Senior Sales & Marketing Manager is responsible for accomplishing business development activities by researching and developing marketing opportunities and plans, implementing sales plans, and managing staff.
    • This role is expected to meet sales objectives by planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating advertising, merchandising, and sales promotion programs, as well as developing sales action plans, with core duties including key account management.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Identifies trendsetter ideas by researching industry and related events, publications, and announcements, tracking individual contributors and their accomplishments.
    • Locates or proposes potential business deals by contacting potential partners, discovering and exploring opportunities.
    • Screens potential business deals by analyzing market strategies, deal requirements, potential, and financials; evaluating options; resolving internal priorities; recommending equity investments.
    • Develops negotiating strategies and positions by studying integration of new venture with company strategies and operations; examining risks and potentials; estimating partners' needs and goals.
    • Closes new business deals by coordinating requirements; developing and negotiating contracts; integrating contract requirements with business operations.
    • Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.
    • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
    • Develops marketing and sales strategies, sales plans, and profit targets for the organization.
    • Manages all Sales Units Heads with an oversight role on activities, tasks, and reports.
    • Ensuring deliverables fit into overall strategy plans.
    • Monitoring the performance of the sales team by establishing a system of reports and communications involving sales reports.
    • Leads the Technical Sales Team by creating ongoing activities that promote the company and its products/services.
    • Maintaining sales volume, establishing, and adjusting the selling price by monitoring costs, competition, and supply and demand.
    • Managing and overseeing the sales team to demonstrate the ability to meet specified targets within a given time frame.
    • Developing yearly sales and marketing budget with input from all allied departments.
    • Oversees the social media platforms and online marketing, marketing communication, brand communication, and public relations.
    • Explores and identifies new sales avenues/opportunities for products.
    • Plans and executes new initiatives and strategies for expanding product market and growth.
    • Strategizing and continuous working towards brand building.
    • Manages, strengthens, and leverages customer relationships across all main customer groups (private and public sector, tender business).
    • Building competent, effective, and efficient and result-oriented sales team.
    • Analyzing market intelligence on competition and strategizing accordingly.
    • Implementation and maintenance of quality systems and continuous improvement methodologies with a specific focus on growth, cost reduction, and process improvements.
    • Managing difficult circumstances pertaining to sales, marketing, administration, etc.
    • Prospecting for and securing new business deals for and Meet sales targets.
    • Fully understanding products’ functionality and benefits.
    • Develop and deploy competitive market plans and strategies to promote products and services.
    • Professionally manage all prospective and actual customers of the company.
    • Represents in exhibitions, trade shows, and others.
    • Maintaining complete and accurate records and reports on clients, sales transactions, and business development and activities.
    • Ensures, sustains, and maintains business relationships with all clients.
    • Develops relationships with architects, consultants, specifiers, and key influencers.
    • Analyses, develops, implements, and follows-up on business development approaches for end-user groups.
    • Presents, discusses, adjusts, and follows-up on technical and commercial solutions with end-users, consultants, influencers, and construction companies.
    • Actively gets involved in project specifications, tender documents, and budgetary quotes.
    • Actively uses Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool.
    • Develops and maintains the image with existing and potential partners and other stakeholders.
    • Plans and organizes influencer events; participates if required in trade shows, congresses, and supports PR activities.

    REQUIREMENT

    • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field, preferably Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, Elect/Elect Engineering, etc).
    • Minimum 7 years’ cognate experience (preferably in the Fire business), with a wide network of contacts throughout the West African region.
    • MBA is an added advantage.
    • Must be 37 years and above.
    • Successful track record in developing and implementing effective sales and marketing strategies.
    • Keen awareness of clients' preferences, ability to adapt quickly to new market trends, and a strong drive for results.
    • Active use of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool.
    • Develops and maintains the image with existing and potential partners and other stakeholders.
    • Commercial attitude, existing network/knowledge of consultants, specifiers, construction companies, architects, and end-users is an asset.
    • Able to learn and understand the products technically and support customers in technical questions
    • Strong, decisive, results-oriented leader who can develop and manage relationships across the company.
    • Ability to lead, motivate, coach, and teach others.
