Senior Protection Officer at Catholic Caritas Foundation of Nigeria (Caritas Nigeria)

Job Purpose

• To provide technical leadership and oversight for protection programming, ensuring alignment with project objectives and adherence to global standards.K

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development and implementation of protection strategies across project locations.
• Supervise and mentor protection staff, providing technical guidance and capacity building.
• Coordinate with UNHCR, government agencies, and stakeholders for quality service delivery.
• Conduct regular field visits to monitor and evaluate protection activities.
• Develop and maintain partnerships with local authorities and community leaders to strengthen protection interventions.
• Ensure that protection incidents and concerns are effectively documented and addressed.
• Qualifications and Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Law, Social Sciences, or related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in protection programming, with at least 2 years in a senior role.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Experience working with displaced populations is required.
