Senior Operations Officer at Good Neighbours Microfinance Bank

Job description

• Oversee and verify daily cash transactions, deposits, withdrawals, and loan disbursements.
• Assist with the administration of loan applications, approvals and disbursements.
• Ensure accuracy and proper documentation of all financial transactions.
• Operate the bank’s core banking software.
• Provide support to customers on account issues, transactions, and banking services.
• Supervise teller and operations team activities.
• Support mobile and digital banking platforms used by customers.
• Identify and report suspicious transactions or potential fraud.
• Liaising with both external and internal auditors.
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly reports on operations to the management.
• Ensure all operations comply with regulatory and internal policy requirements.
• Undertake any additional duties as directed by the management.

Requirements/Qualification

• HND/BSC in Banking and Finance, Accounting or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a Microfinance institution.
• Familiarity with core banking systems and digital platforms.
• Good understanding of CBN guidelines and other regulatory requirements.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
