Senior Manager - Control & Compliance at Flour Mills of Nigeria Plc

PURPOSE ​

To provides strategic, enterprise-wide leadership for control, compliance, and risk management across the FMN-Agro Vertical by standardizing operational and financial control frameworks to strengthen governance, eliminate leakage, and mitigate risk. Ensures effective ICOFR implementation, inventory governance, audit issue resolution, and regulatory compliance, working closely with Internal/External stakeholders, and BU leadership to drive asset protection, sustainable profitability, and operational excellence.

THE JOB​

• Provide strategic leadership and direction for the FMN-Agro Control & Compliance function across all Business Units.
• Strengthen controls to eliminate leakage, shrinkage, and process inefficiencies across Agro operations.
• Develop and embed a strong compliance culture across the Agro Vertical.
• Lead the design, implementation, and monitoring of ICOFR frameworks across FMN-Agro.
• Recommend and drive mitigation strategies aligned with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
• Track front-line and internal audit findings across all Agro BUs and ensure timely resolution of all issues.

THE PERSON MUST ​

• Have strong understanding of internal control frameworks (ICOFR), enterprise risk management, and operational compliance principles.
• Have proven ability to provide enterprise-wide leadership for control and compliance across multiple Business Units.
• Have the capacity to design, implement, and monitor robust internal control frameworks across complex Agro operations.
• Have strong knowledge of inventory governance, including stock verification, reconciliation, shrinkage control, and variance analysis.

QUALIFICATION

• B.Sc. In Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• Professional certifications such as ICAN, CPA, or ACCA will be an added advantage.

EXPERIENCE​

• Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in control, compliance, or audit roles, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership position.
• Experience in FMCG, agribusiness, or manufacturing operations is highly desirable.
