Senior Litigation and Commercial Counsel at Emzor Pharmaceutical Industries Limited

ROLE SUMMARY

We are seeking a motivated and experienced litigation and commercial counsel to manage the organization’s dispute resolution portfolio while providing strategic legal support on commercial transactions. The role combines litigation oversight with advisory functions on contracts, regulatory compliance, and risk management to protect the company’s legal and commercial interests.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage all litigation, arbitration, and alternative dispute resolution matters.
• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, including: 
• Supply and distribution agreements, Service contracts, Joint venture and partnership agreements 
• Provide legal support on transactions, including M&A, financing, and restructuring. 
• Advise on applicable laws and regulations affecting the business. 
• Ensure compliance with industry-specific regulations and corporate governance standards. 
• Identify legal risks and provide practical solutions. 
• Develop strategies to minimize exposure to litigation and liability. 
• Interacting and integrating with other departments in the Company around cost management, loss and such other things that may lead to a breach of contract or violation of laws
• Research and evaluate different risk factors regarding business decisions and operations
• Supervise and coordinate junior legal department members. 
• Mentor and develop internal legal talent. 

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• LLB Degree in Law
• BL Degree /Call to the Nigerian Bar 
• ICSAN Membership
• MBA or BSc in Business Administration will be an advantage
• A minimum of 10 years working as a Legal Counsel for businesses.
• A proven track record of creating effective legal strategies.
