Job Summary

• The Senior Legal Manager will oversee the legal aspects of the business, ensuring that the company's operations are conducted within the legal framework and in accordance with relevant regulations.
• This role requires a deep understanding of manufacturing processes and associated legal issues, including regulatory compliance, contract management, intellectual property, and labor law.
• The ideal candidate will provide strategic legal advice to senior management and work closely with various departments to mitigate legal risks.

Key Responsibilities
Legal Advisory:

• Provide expert legal advice to senior management on a broad range of issues including corporate governance, regulatory compliance, labor laws, and intellectual property.
• Advise on legal risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.

Contract Management:

• Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of contracts including supply agreements, service contracts, and non-disclosure agreements.
• Ensure contracts comply with legal requirements and company policies.

Regulatory Compliance:

• Monitor changes in laws and regulations relevant to the manufacturing industry and ensure the company remains compliant.
• Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

Dispute Resolution:

• Manage litigation and disputes involving the company, including coordination with external legal counsel.
• Represent the company in negotiations, mediations, and arbitrations as necessary.

Corporate Governance:

• Support corporate governance activities including board meetings, corporate filings, and maintenance of corporate records.
• Ensure compliance with corporate laws and regulations.

Intellectual Property:

• Oversee the protection of the company’s intellectual property, including patents, trademarks, and trade secrets.
• Manage intellectual property disputes and enforcement actions.

Training and Development:

• Provide training and guidance to employees on legal issues and compliance matters.
• Develop and deliver legal training programs for staff and management.

Collaboration:

• Work closely with other departments such as HR, Finance, Operations, and R&D to ensure legal considerations are integrated into business processes.
• Act as a liaison with external legal counsel and other external parties.

Qualifications
Educational Qualification:

• Juris Doctor (JD) Degree from an accredited law school.
• Licensed to practice law in relevant jurisdiction(s).

Experience:

• Must have 10-12 years of legal experience, with significant exposure to the manufacturing industry.
• Proven experience in contract negotiation, regulatory compliance, and dispute resolution.

• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and legal issues related to the industry.
