Job Summary
The School Administrator is responsible for the smooth day-to-day administrative and operational management of the school. This role ensures efficient coordination between academic staff, non-teaching staff, students, parents, and external bodies, while maintaining compliance with educational regulations and school policies.
Key Responsibilities
Administrative & Operational Duties
- Oversee daily school operations to ensure a safe, organized, and productive learning environment.
- Manage school records, files, and documentation (staff, students, admissions, and examinations).
- Coordinate admissions, student enrolment, transfers, and withdrawals.
- Prepare official correspondence, reports, memos, and meeting minutes.
Staff Coordination & HR Support
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and orientation of teaching and non-teaching staff.
- Monitor staff attendance, punctuality, and general discipline.
- Assist in staff performance reviews and training coordination.
Finance & Resource Management
- Assist with budgeting, fee collection monitoring, and basic financial record-keeping.
- Oversee procurement and inventory of school supplies and assets.
- Ensure proper maintenance of school facilities and equipment.
Communication & Stakeholder Management
- Serve as a liaison between parents, teachers, students, and management.
- Handle inquiries, complaints, and feedback professionally and promptly.
- Coordinate school events, meetings, and official engagements.
Compliance & Policy Implementation
- Ensure adherence to school policies, government regulations, and educational standards.
- Maintain accurate records for inspections and accreditation processes.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum of NCE /OND in Education, Administration, Management, or a related field.
- 2–5 years’ experience in school administration or a similar role.
- Experience working in a school environment is an added advantage.
