    Sales & Marketing Representative

    Locations:

    Primary Business Sites:

    • Site 1: Shinge Road, Opposite ERRC Graceland, Lafia, Nasarawa State
    • Site 2: No 15 Kwandere Road, Kwamka, Behind Na Allah Company, Lafia, Nasarawa State (with free staff accommodation provided as needed)

    Sales Trips:

    Regular travel to Abuja for sales and marketing activities (with travel costs fully covered by the company)

    Reports To: Sales & Operations Manager

    Role Summary

    As Sales & Marketing Representative, you will take a lead role in driving sales growth, managing key customer relationships, supervising sales activities, and implementing effective marketing strategies to serve diverse customer segments in Nasarawa State and Abuja. You will also support the training and coordination of junior sales staff as needed.

    Compensation & Benefits

    Monthly Base Salary: ₦100,000 (with free staff accommodation provided)
    Monthly Performance Bonus: Up to ₦50,000 based on achieving agreed sales targets
    Accommodation: Free staff accommodation available at Site 2, No 15 Kwandere Road, Kwamka, Behind Na Allah Company, Lafia, Nasarawa State
    Travel Support: All approved travel costs covered for sales trips to Abuja

    Key Responsibilities

    Sales Leadership & Execution

    • Sell our full range of catfish products:
    • Table-size live/fresh catfish (~1 kg average weight)
    • Graded fingerlings (5–10 g average weight)
    • Dried, processed catfish

    Identify, target, and grow key customer segments:

    • Hotels, restaurants, bars, and roadside vendors
    • Bulk buyers, wholesalers, and market traders
    • Fish farms, hatcheries, and regional off-takers
    • Build and maintain strong customer relationships through in-person visits, calls, and online communication.
    • Negotiate and manage supply agreements and volume purchase contracts.
    • Conduct regular sales trips to Abuja to develop and maintain customer accounts.
    • Coordinate with delivery and logistics teams for timely, accurate order fulfilment.
    • Maintain detailed sales records, customer accounts, and payment schedules.
    • Achieve or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets.

    Marketing & Brand Promotion

    • Plan and deliver marketing campaigns tailored to different customer segments.
    • Produce and distribute promotional materials, pricing lists, and product catalogues.
    • Maintain active communication with customers via WhatsApp, social media, and other channels.
    • Represent the company at trade fairs, local market events, farmers’ meetings, and outreach programmes.
    • Support packaging and branding development for dried catfish to appeal to urban markets.
    • Monitor competitor pricing, market trends, and customer feedback.
    • Assist in developing customer loyalty programmes, flexible payment plans, and volume discount strategies.

    Team Coordination & Support

    • Support onboarding, training, and supervision of junior sales staff or agents as needed.
    • Share best practices and contribute to a positive, customer-focused team culture.
    • Provide regular feedback to management on sales performance, customer needs, and market opportunities.

    Requirements

    • OND/HND or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Agriculture, or a related field.
    • 1–3+ years’ experience in sales, marketing, or agribusiness, ideally with aquaculture or food products.
    • Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
    • Familiarity with the local hospitality industry, aquaculture markets, or retail/wholesale distribution.
    • Self-motivated, organised, and willing to travel locally, including sales trips to Abuja.
    • Basic record-keeping, reporting, and use of messaging apps/social media for marketing.
    • Experience supervising or coordinating small teams is an advantage.
