    Fleet/Logistics/Transport Officers

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Negotiate and secure loads for assigned trucks to choice locations.
    • Ensure drivers deliver the right quantity of clients’ products to their required location within the given time limit 
    • Ensure proper and thorough inventory is taken prior to assignment or retrieval of a truck from a driver.
    • Conduct random asset inspections and monthly accessories inspection as well as submit report on outcomes.
    • Monitor the progress of drivers and serve as their first point of contact should a problem arise 
    • Conduct, in conjunction with the tracking unit, proper tracking of drivers in transit to ensure prompt and target time of delivery is achieved
    • Take the lead role in scheduling, planning, costing and allocating routes and vehicles ensuring sufficient flexibility is in place to meet the varying and changing needs of customers
    • Ensure that all vehicles are compliant with all legal, regulatory and contractual requirements, and where necessary escalating any identified issues and recommending resolution to the Operations Manager
    • Resolve unforeseen problems on trips as they arise ensuring appropriate resolution of these and utilise the learning to plan for future similar scenarios 
    • Monitor drivers behaviour while on a journey and caution violating drivers
    • Obtain and maintain all truck licensing, registrations, insurance, emblems and permits. Resolve all on-trip tickets related issues.
    • Ensure waybills and other loading documents are properly filed and submitted on time to the accounts unit.
    • Keep organized records of vehicles, schedules and completed orders.
    • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspection of trucks to identify damages, dents, etc and report to the Operations Manager after getting the driver to make a statement on the identified issues.
    • Submit relevant reports.
    • Other responsibilities as assigned.

    REQUIREMENTS

    • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized tertiary institution
    • Minimum 5 years of working experience in a similar position
    • Experience in a logistics or haulage company is compulsory
    • Effective interpersonal skills, including proven abilities to listen, comprehend, effectively communicate clearly and concisely to obtain positive results
    • Excellent customer service skills
    • Pro-active, strong organizational skills
    • Good computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
    • Fluent in English

    Tracking Trainee

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

     

    • Monitor and track trucks form source to destination, ascertaining the location of all trucks at all times.
    • Prepare daily loading projections for clients
    • Real time tracking of all truck locations and event monitoring in all fleets using GPS system
    • Continuously monitor aspects of driver behavior, such as speeding, fuel consumption, excessive braking and erratic driving using telematics systems in trucks
    • Flag off all illegal movements of drivers and notify the appropriate authorities promptly to enable them take action.
    • Monitor delays, time spent at customer locations, diversions, and illegal loadings.
    • Track vehicle locations and improve traceability in the event of a vehicle theft
    • Analyze data to identify vehicle patterns and take remedial action to reduce costs
    • Flag off immediately, issues of violations of geo-fences, speed limits, free-wheeling, night driving, over-speeding, near misses, etc. to management

    REQUIREMENTS

    • Min of B.A., B.Sc or any equivalent academic qualification
    • No previous experience required
    • Must be able to use excel and possess basic computer skills

    OTHER INFORMATION

    • Must reside around Yaba, Onipanu, Oshodi, Ikeja axis

    Salary is N100,000 gross

    Account Officer

    Key Responsibilities Include:

    Impress Management

    1. Preparation of timely impress report
    2. Verify that all payment requests are appropriately approved 
    3. Ensure that all items paid for using the imprest araccce properly and accurately captured by the Report
    4. Keep supporting documents for all expenses paid for with impress
    5. Ensure that the float does not run out before replenishment 
    6. Reconciliation of the physical cash with the balance show in the imprest Report as anytime requested
    7. Post the imprest expenses into Sage

    Receivables

    1. Prepare clients invoices
    2. Reconcile all payments and follow up on short fall
    3. Follow up clients for prompt payments
    4. Prepare a monthly report which accurately captures all transactions executed for each period
    5. Ensure the proper recording and custody of all delivery notes/waybills, tickets, etc.

    Inventory management

    1. Ensure update of Software with new Customer & Vendors information;
    2. Set up and maintain depot fixed assets register, comply with laid down process and procedures and maintain a proper fixed asset register for the entire terminal. 
    3. Take stock of inventory and fixed assets with monthly reports 
    4. Carry out other assignments as may be required from time to time by Head of Finance 

    Educational Qualifications 

    1. First degree in Accounting, Business, Economics or related fields from a reputable university/polytechnic. 
    2. Additional qualification and professional certification will be added advantage

    Experience 

    1. Up to 5 years overall combined accounting and finance experience,

    Core Competencies 

    1. Good working knowledge and understanding of basic accounting principles; practices, accounts payable and receivable management, financial management and financial reporting;
    2. Proven working experience as a Head of Finance;
    3. Experience in preparing accurate and thorough Financial Reports and related schedule in line with established deadlines;
    4. Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process
    5. Effective oral and written communications, interpersonal and planning

    Skills;

    1. Proficiency in the use of computer applications and Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, Outlook, Power point and Financial Application;
    2. Good organizational skill and ability to manage documentations and make past and future documentations accessible;
    3. Strong management skills with a demonstrated ability to take initiative;
    4. Thorough knowledge of accounting principles, processes and procedures necessary to produce deliverables
