As a Sales Lead you’ll lead a team in acquiring net new business for Bumpa, you’ll be a critical part of our sales organization.
This role requires a strong entrepreneurial mindset, as you will be responsible for building the team and developing effective sales strategies to penetrate the market and achieve revenue targets.
Your expertise in B2B sales, technology, and a deep understanding of the MSME space will be essential in shaping the team's strategy, identifying target markets, and forging key partnerships.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Recruit, hire, and onboard a high-performing sales team specialized in B2B tech sales and focused on acquiring merchants and driving revenue growth through MSMEs. Provide mentorship, guidance, and ongoing training to help them achieve individual and team sales targets.
Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy tailored to the start-up's goals and target market within the merchant/MSME space. Identify ideal client profiles, define value propositions, and create compelling sales pitches to drive revenue growth.
Conduct thorough market research within the MSME sectors to identify potential customers, competitors, and industry trends. Determine the best approach for acquiring merchants and targeting MSMEs to maximize revenue growth opportunities.
Lead by example in acquiring new merchant clients and developing relationships with MSMEs. Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders, positioning your team as trusted advisors and driving long-term partnerships.
Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) or Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) to track and measure the sales team's performance in acquisition and revenue growth. Regularly analyze sales data, pipeline activity, conversion rates, and customer acquisition costs to identify areas for improvement and drive sales productivity.
Design and implement an efficient sales process tailored to the start-up's unique requirements for acquiring merchants and driving revenue growth through MSMEs. Define lead generation, qualification, and closing procedures, continuously refining the process based on feedback and results.
Collaborate with other departments, such as marketing and product, to align sales strategies with overall business objectives. Provide input and feedback on product offerings, pricing models, and marketing campaigns to attract and engage merchants and MSMEs effectively.
Generate accurate sales forecasts and regular reports to senior management, highlighting sales performance, revenue growth, trends, and potential opportunities or challenges. Provide insights and recommendations for strategic decision-making.
JOB EXPERIENCE
4+ years of sales management experience preferred with a heavy emphasis on top performance and experience in a solution selling
Proven experience in sales or business development, preferably in the MSME and B2B environment
Demonstrated success in building and leading sales teams, including hiring, training, and performance management, specifically in acquiring merchants and driving revenue growth
Strong knowledge of B2B sales strategies, lead generation techniques, and relationship management within the MSME sectors
Technical acumen and understanding of technology products and solutions relevant to MSMEs, with the ability to articulate value propositions to potential clients
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders of varying backgrounds
Analytical mindset with the ability to leverage data and industry trends to drive informed sales decisions to achieve revenue growth targets.
Entrepreneurial spirit and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic start-up & target-driven environment.
Proficient in using CRM software and other sales tools.
Knowledge of the field/industry and its market trends.
Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field (preferred).
