Sales and Marketing Officer at Jumbo Sports Mart

​​​​​​​JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Assist the Business Manager in promoting the company's merchandise and brands; collaborate to introduce new products to the market.
• Assist the Business Manager in analyzing budgets, preparing annual budget plans, scheduling expenditures, and ensuring that the branch meets their quotas and goals.
• Ensure effective showroom management and systematic display of goods for ease of retrieval and access.
• Assist the Business Manager in researching and developing marketing opportunities and plans, understanding consumer requirements, identifying market trends, and suggesting system improvements to achieve the branch and company's marketing goals.
• Assist the Business Manager in gathering, investigating, and summarizing market data and trends to draft reports.
• Assist the Business Manager in implementing new sales plans and advertising where necessary.
• Ensure effective relationship management with customers by making regular calls, visits, understanding their needs, and anticipating new marketing opportunities.
• Ensure preparation of detailed reports on branch inventory operations, stock levels, and adjustments and advise Branch Head from time to time.
• Assist the marketing and communication team to oversee and participate in the creation of digital and non-digital media for sales and promotion.
• Assist the Business Manager in managing branch sales by developing a business plan that covers sales, revenue, and expense controls.
• Assist the Business Manager in developing your branch team through motivation, counseling, and product knowledge education.
• Assist the Business Manager in achieving growth and hitting sales targets.
• Assist the Business Manager in building and promoting strong, long-lasting customer relationships by partnering with them and understanding their needs. 

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in sales or marketing.
• Strong sales and negotiation skills.
• Excellent communication. 
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in sales management tools.
