Rig Coordinator at Uniterm Nigeria Limited

Main Responsibilities

Coordinate the activities of Uniterm staff and logistics.

• Coordinate and manage all Uniterm fleet of vehicles and drivers for the smooth running of rig logistic operation.
• Liaise with Camp Boss to ensure the quality delivery of catering services and staff.
• Liaise with the rig manager to ensure smooth communication and all related issues regarding logistic and staff needs are resolved.
• Assist rig manager in close out issues and concerns as they arise.
• Participate in rig operational meetings and close out areas of concerns as may be directed by the DSV/Rig manager
• Liaise with technical partners and other third-party contractors in resolving issues and concern on behalf of Uniterm.
• Provide leadership to Uniterm staff and bridge communication between client and other technical parties.
• Write operational report to base.
• Maintain a safe work environment by enforcing safety rules and regulations 
• Maintain equipment and tools in good working condition 
• Assist in the development of work schedules and assignments 
• Train new employees on proper safety procedures and equipment operation 
• Monitor employee performance and provide feedback 
• Investigate accidents and incidents, and take corrective action as necessary 
• Prepare reports on crew productivity, crew time sheet, equipment utilization, and maintenance needs 
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure efficient operations 
• Develop and implement plans for improving efficiency and productivity 
• Managing the budget for the project to ensure that costs are kept within an acceptable range 
• Preparing and maintaining project plans, schedules, and budgets 
• Manage inventory of supplies and materials. 

Authorities:

• Authority to manage expense of Hilong 19 Monthly Rig Maintenance Impress.
• Authority to liaise with Partner/Clients.
• Manage equipment and material store at Hilong 19.
• Authority to Repair Uniterm Vehicle if need be.
• Authority to carry out maintenance on Hilong 19 accommodation.
• Authority to request for Materials.
• Authority to deputize for colleagues as approved by your Supervisor.

• Leadership: Must have Leadership skills to motivate the team and encourage them to work together to meet project goals. Also to help the team grow professionally by providing them with opportunities to advance in their careers. 
• Communication: Should be able to explain complex processes and procedures in a way that the team members can understand. Also to able to give feedback to the team members and offer constructive criticism when necessary. 
• Problem-solving Skills: To be able to identify issues, develop solutions and implement them.  
• Technical skills: Rig coordinator use technical skills to understand and interpret data, design and implement processes and procedures and troubleshoot and resolve issues. Rig coordinator use technical skills to ensure the safety of the crew and the integrity of the project. They use technical skills to ensure the project meets the client’s expectations and deadlines. 
• Must possess sound reasoning skills, common sense and the ability to follow directions. 
• Must possess basic mathematical skills (equivalent to a high school education) and be proficient in rig math. 
• Must possess basic computer skills.
