    Retail Operations Manager

    About the Role

    • We are looking for a Retail Operations Manager, a licensed pharmacist, who is analytical, data- driven, collaborative, friendly, well-organized, and self-motivated.
    • The ideal candidate should have strong communication and business development skills.
    • You should have a hands-on approach since initially you would be mostly carrying out the activities yourself vs. delegating to others. In addition, you would be working closely with other leadership team members.
    • You should also be proficient in the use of MS Excel, Google Sheets, and PowerPoint.

    Responsibilities

    • The specific responsibilities of the role include:

    Financial:

    • Provide input into the development of financial targets for the pharmacy business
    • Lead the pharmacy team to consistently meet or surpass financial targets
    • Report performance metrics to Management and recommend strategic actions
    • Develop strategy for the success of the pharmacy business
    • Identify paths to grow own-store sales

    Business Development:

    • Identify new ways to incorporate technology to support sales, operations, and customer experience
    • Ensure pricing in-line with Lifestores’ mass-market-oriented value proposition
    • Study the practices of local competitors & foreign players and incorporate best practices into our operations
    • Drive own-store sales in existing pharmacies

    Marketing:

    • Liaise with Marketing team members to drive above-the-line, digital, in-stores marketing practices – as well as community outreach
    • Design & execute in-store initiatives to increase awareness and store customer traffic
    • Develop ways to increase average customer basket size
    • Ensure an excellent customer experience

    Supply Chain

    • Work with the procurement unit to identify new product categories to drive sales
    • Oversee the effective operation of the business, including across finance, inventory, logistics, quality / regulatory, IT implementation, security, and facilities
    • Being a role model and inspirational carrier of Lifestores’ culture and beliefs

    Qualifications & Characteristics

    • Ideal candidates for the Retail Operations Manager role must demonstrate:
    • Be proactive - able to identify & drive goals with minimal supervision
    • Be highly driven and relentlessly obsessed with results
    • Be resourceful, a structured thinker, and a quick learner
    • Be good with people and a strong communicator (oral and written)
    • Have irreproachable personal integrity
    • Have experience leading or working with a team in a collaborative manner
    • Have experience reducing procurement costs and ensuring on-time delivery of quality products
    • Have exposure to other functional areas of retail operations, e.g. sales, inventory, HR, IT
    • Possess minimum of first degree with strong business management skills(a licensed
    • Pharmacist with strong business development track record is preferred)
    • Have 5+ years of professional experience ( should include few years of sales experience)
    • Have strong Microsoft Office skills
