Regional Business Development Manager – Equity Sales
The Business Development Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth, expanding market share, and deepening client penetration within the assigned catchment area. The role holder will own the commercial performance of the region, with clear accountability for:
Client acquisition
Trading volume generation
Revenue delivery
Institutional and HNI relationship expansion
This role requires a highly proactive, sales-driven professional with strong capital market expertise and the ability to convert market intelligence into profitable trading flows.
Job Details
Drive regional revenue targets through increased equity trading volumes and client activity.
Develop and execute a territory coverage plan across various locations in Abeokuta, Ibadan, Osun.
Identify and convert new business opportunities across Institutional clients, Corporates, Government entities and High Net-Worth Individuals (HNWIs)
Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline with clear conversion targets.
Aggressively onboard new clients and increase active trading accounts.
Deepen wallet share from existing clients through cross-selling and advisory engagement.
Maintain strong engagement with top-tier clients to drive repeat trading flows.
Deliver tailored investment ideas leveraging internal research and market insights.
Actively drive order flow into Greenwich Securities’ trading platform.
Promote Equity brokerage services, Structured investment ideas and Market opportunities
Work closely with the Research and Trading teams to convert insights into execution.
Monitor regional market trends, competitor activity, and investor behavior.
Provide actionable feedback to management on Client preferences, Pricing dynamics, Product gaps.
Identify opportunities for new product development or positioning.
Ensure strict adherence to SEC, NGX, and internal compliance requirements.
Maintain high ethical standards in all client interactions and transactions.
Take full ownership of business performance within the assigned region.
Track and report revenue performance, client acquisition metrics and trading volumes together with the business performance and business analyst within the team
Ensure consistent achievement of monthly and quarterly targets.
Requirements
Minimum of 10 years’ experience, with strong exposure to capital markets / equity brokerage
Proven track record in sales-driven roles (not just relationship management)
Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed revenue targets
Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or related field
Relevant certifications (CIS, CFA, etc.) will be an advantage
