Recreation Officer at La Campagne Tropicana Beach Resort

Job brief

We are looking for Recreation Officers who will assist Activity Supervisor with the timely and effective delivery of aquatic and recreation services at the Resort’ Swimming Pool and other recreation facilities accurately and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Supervision of guests at the Resort’s recreation facilities;
• act immediately and appropriately to secure safety of guests in the event of an emergency.
• Communicate and enforce pool regulations and rules in a personable and professional manner;
• Daily cleaning of the pool and pool area.
• Cleaning of the change rooms, toilets and showers.
• Coordinate the set up and removal of equipment as well as cleaning required for the delivery of recreation programs or special events
• Maintain a high level of personal presentation.
• Develop strong working relationships with all customers, internal and external, treating all interactions with professionalism and dignity
• Administer first aid where required and in line with qualifications.
• Operate plant, equipment, appropriate devices and protective equipment in accordance with demonstrated safety procedures and proper instruction
• Ensure that any hazardous conditions, near misses and injuries are reported immediately to the Activity Supervisor
• Report any required maintenance to the Activity Supervisor, and arrange for maintenance as directed
• Assist in the development and delivery of aquatic and recreation programs

Requirements

• Previous experience in the aquatic and recreation fields.
• Previous experience in life guarding and pool supervision techniques.
• Sound customer service skills.
• Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills.
• Development organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work unsupervised.
• Ability to work as an active team member
• Pool Lifeguard Certificate
• NCE/ND/HND/BSc.
