Audit Officer at Micmakin Nigeria Ltd

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and ethical Audit Officer to support the internal audit function of Micmakin Nigeria Ltd. The successful candidate will assist in ensuring compliance with internal controls, company policies, and regulatory requirements, while helping management improve operational efficiency and risk management across the group.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct internal audits across Micmakin subsidiaries in line with approved audit plans
• Review financial records, transactions, and processes to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Assess the effectiveness of internal controls and recommend improvements
• Verify compliance with company policies, procedures, and statutory regulations
• Identify operational, financial, and compliance risks and report findings clearly
• Prepare audit reports with practical recommendations and follow up on implementation
• Support investigations into irregularities, fraud, or control breaches when required
• Liaise with management and external auditors as needed

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
• Minimum of 2–4 years relevant experience in audit, accounting, or internal control
• Professional qualification (ICAN, ACCA, ACA, or in progress) is an added advantage
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, internal controls, and audit procedures
• High level of integrity, confidentiality, and attention to detail
• Good analytical, report-writing, and communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting/audit software
• Ability to work independently and across multiple business units
