Job Description

• The Radiographer is responsible for conducting high-quality diagnostic imaging procedures to support patient diagnosis and treatment within KTHSMB healthcare facilities. The role involves operating imaging equipment such as X-ray, CT, and ultrasound machines, ensuring radiation safety standards, and maintaining accurate imaging records. The officer will work closely with medical practitioners to deliver timely and precise imaging services while adhering to professional and ethical standards in patient care.

 Key Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic imaging procedures including X-ray, CT scan, and ultrasound as required
• Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures ensuring comfort and safety
• Operate and maintain radiographic equipment effectively
• Ensure compliance with radiation protection and safety standards
• Process and review imaging results for quality and accuracy
• Maintain accurate patient imaging records and documentation
• Collaborate with doctors and other healthcare professionals on diagnosis and treatment
• Monitor and report equipment faults and coordinate maintenance
• Ensure proper handling and storage of imaging data and films
• Provide guidance to patients on procedures and post-imaging care

 Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Radiography or Medical Imaging
• NYSC Discharged/Exemption Certificate
• Valid professional license/practice registration
• Strong knowledge of diagnostic imaging techniques
• Good patient care and communication skills
• Relevant experience
