    Quality Control Officer (Garments / Fashion)

    Job Description

    • Monitor the quality of the product through the various stages of garment production.
    • Devise ways to improve the manufacturing process to ensure higher-quality goods
    • Perform inline inspection, pre-final audit, and final inspection in the finishing department.
    • Set requirements for all materials and monitor compliance
    • Audit all fabric and trims and ensure that only top-quality materials are accepted.
    • Prepare audit reports of the fabric and trim quality.
    • Ensure that no faulty fabric is sent for cutting.
    • Ensure that all samples in the sampling stage meet the quality aspects of the samples
    • Oversee product development procedures to identify any deviations from quality standards
    • Perform in-line inspection and end-of-line inspection on the sewing floor.
    • Perform inline inspection, pre-final audit, and final inspection in the finishing department.
    • Implement preventive and remedial measures against the occurrence of defects
    • Establish guidelines for production and preparatory processes to get the right first-time quality from each process.
    • Inspect the final outputs from the production lines comparing them to the requirements and approve or reject the final products

    Qualifications

    • Minimum of HND in any relevant discipline
    • 1 year and above of relevant work experience in garment production
    • Knowledge of process improvement practices, tools & techniques
    • Strong observational and listening skills
    • Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
    • Strong analytical and pragmatic problem-solving skills
    • Organization and attention to detail.
    • Excellent leadership and time management skills
    • Strong interpersonal skills.
