    Quality Control Analyst (Pharmaceutical Company)

    About Our Client:

    Our client is a leading pharmaceutical company based in Lagos, Nigeria, dedicated to ensuring the quality and safety of pharmaceutical products. With a focus on continuous improvement and adherence to regulatory standards, our client plays a vital role in the healthcare industry by delivering high-quality medications to patients.

    Role Summary:

    As a Quality Control Analyst at our client's pharmaceutical company, you will be responsible for performing analytical testing and quality assurance activities to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and product specifications. You will play a key role in maintaining the quality and integrity of pharmaceutical products through meticulous testing and analysis.

    Responsibilities:

    • Perform routine and non-routine analysis of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products using analytical techniques such as HPLC, GC, FTIR, and UV-Vis spectroscopy.
    • Conduct physical and chemical tests to assess the identity, potency, purity, and stability of pharmaceutical products, following standard operating procedures (SOPs) and pharmacopoeial methods.
    • Record and interpret test results accurately, documenting findings and deviations in laboratory notebooks and electronic systems.
    • Investigate out-of-specification (OOS) results and non-conforming materials, identifying root causes and implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs) as needed.
    • Maintain laboratory equipment and instrumentation, performing calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting to ensure reliable and accurate test results.
    • Support validation and qualification activities for analytical methods, equipment, and processes in accordance with regulatory requirements.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Quality Assurance, Production, and Regulatory Affairs to address quality-related issues and implement improvements.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Pharmacy, or related field.
    • Minimum of 2 years of experience in quality control or analytical laboratory testing, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry.
    • Strong knowledge of analytical techniques and instrumentation, including HPLC, GC, FTIR, and UV-Vis spectroscopy.
    • Familiarity with pharmaceutical quality systems, cGMP regulations, and pharmacopoeial standards.
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
