Job Summary:

The QA Officer will carry out Quality inspection of food production and service operations of the outlet, flag bottle necks and resolve issues and ensuring food safety and compliance to standard operating procedures.

Job Description:

Food Quality Management

• Ensure the monitoring and programming critical control points in all outlets.
• Responsible for monitoring product food safety and quality throughout the production process.
• Manage corrective and preventive action process; including failure, investigation and root-cause analysis regarding food quality.
• Conduct Water and Food Item Analysis across all outlet; also following up on the laboratories on the conduct of the tests.
• Responsible for managing quality standards on the production lines by liaising with the Outlet Managers and Production Supervisors.

Process Documentation and Compliance

• Responsible for creating, revising and maintaining a library of all departmental Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and policies.
• Ensure that all products and procedures are in compliance with established specifications and regulatory standards while liaising with Government Regulatory Bodies.
• Ensure that all new regulations are accurately implemented at all outlets and suppliers.
• Continually improve the system, processes, and make suggestions for changes and improvements.

Training

• Participate in regular operational test for training needs for the Production Team.
• Participate in periodic trainings and refreshers on the Production related Standard Operating Procedures & Policies.

Qualification:

• BSc in Microbiology/Biochemistry/Food Science and Technology and any other related course
• 0 – 2 years’ experience in food safety/quality assurance
• Technical knowledge
• Thorough and detail oriented
• Knowledge of risk Assessment
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• Candidate must reside in Port Harcourt
• Working days is 3 days a week.
