The Quality Monitoring and Control Inspection Officer is responsible for ensuring that all construction activities, materials, and workmanship comply with approved drawings, specifications, regulatory standards, and organizational quality requirements. The role involves routine site inspections, quality audits, documentation of findings, and collaboration with project teams to identify non-conformities and drive corrective and preventive actions. The officer plays a critical role in safeguarding construction quality, minimizing defects, and ensuring successful project delivery.
Job Details
Conduct routine and scheduled quality inspections across all project stages, including substructure, superstructure, finishes, and external works.
Verify compliance of construction works with approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and applicable codes and standards.
Monitor material quality, storage, handling, and usage to ensure conformity with approved samples and technical requirements.
Identify, document, and report non-conformities, defects, and deviations, and track corrective and preventive actions to closure.
Ensure adherence to Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) requirements during inspection activities.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree or Higher National Diploma in Structural Engineering.
Minimum of Four (4) years work experience in site supervision within the construction industry. Membership or certification from relevant professional bodies (COREN, NSE) is an added advantage.
Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and workmanship standards.
Ability to interpret and review architectural, structural, and MEP drawings and specifications.
Excellent inspection, observation, and analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
Proficiency in technical report writing and documentation.
Good communication and interpersonal skills for effective coordination with site teams and stakeholders.
Proficiency in basic computer applications (MS Word, Excel, and reporting tools).
