QA Coating & Insulation Inspector will be responsible for ensuring the quality and compliance of coatings and insulation applications for Fabric Maintenance Works.
This role involves inspecting materials, verifying procedures, reviewing work packages and ensuring adherence to industry standard and NLNG Specific delivery requirements for the works.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor surface preparation, material application, and curing processes for coatings.
Ensure insulation materials are deployed according to design and environmental requirements.
Review and approve coating and insulation materials before application.
Perform adhesion tests, thickness measurements, and visual inspections of coatings.
Verify insulation materials for correct type, thickness, and coverage.
Conduct inspections of coating and insulation applications to ensure compliance with project specifications.
Maintain accurate records of inspections, tests, and quality control reports.
Conduct audits and recommend corrective actions when non-conformance is identified.
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor's degree or HND in Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
Certifications in coating and insulation inspection (e.g., NACE Coating Inspector, SSPC, API, or equivalent) preferred.
5 years of experience in QA/QC for coatings and insulation in industrial projects.
Familiarity with oil & gas, construction, or manufacturing industries.
Knowledge of coating types, surface preparation methods, and insulation materials.
Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and industry standards.
Proficiency in inspection tools such as DFT gauges, adhesion testers, and infrared cameras.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
Ability to work in a team and independently in field environments.
