The Project Planning and Control Manager is responsible for providing overall project planning and control direction for the project.
The position will work closely with the project management team to ensure that the project is planned and executed in a timely and efficient manner while maintaining quality, safety, and cost objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain the project schedule, including resource allocation and critical path analysis.
Establish and maintain project controls, including cost management, risk management, and change management.
Analyze project progress and performance against the project plan and budget, identify variances, and develop corrective actions.
Monitor project risks and develop risk mitigation strategies to minimize their impact on the project.
Develop and maintain project documentation, including project plans, status reports, and change requests.
Coordinate with project team members and stakeholders to ensure project activities are completed on schedule and within budget.
Develop and maintain effective relationships with project team members, contractors, and other stakeholders.
Effective control and management of project life circle.
Ensure compliance with all relevant project management standards, policies, and procedures.
Manage and mentor project control staff, including providing guidance, feedback, and training.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
At least 5 years of experience in project planning and control, preferably in a construction or engineering environment.
Knowledge of project management software tools and techniques.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with project team members and stakeholders.
Demonstrated ability to lead and manage project control staff.
