    Project Manager

    Cadre: Manager

    Job Purpose

    • The project assistant is to be involved in all aspects of the projects from the surveys and design stages to the hand-over of all projects.
    • S/he will support the efforts of the project manager in ensuring that all deliverables are within the specified scope and on time. S/he will also notify the project manager of planned daily work and any deviations that may arise from the agreed plan ensuring that the deliverables are in line with specification

    Key Responsibilities

    • Assist the project management team with a variety of administrative and project related duties such as such as memos, letters, reports, presentations, agendas, meeting materials, minutes and reports to the head of department and / or project manager assigned to projects.
    • Act in the capacity of secretary in internal and external project meetings, prepares and distributes minutes and action item summaries.
    • Assist in project and deliverables tracking throughout the implementation phase.
    • Monitor the status of agreements and contracts, reporting variations and discrepancies to management.
    • Participate in cross – functional and cross – departmental activities and meetings to communicate project team’s business needs, status of current projects and deliverables.
    • Review and process all expense claims including travel claims or contract payments.
    • Facilitate general procurement of materials for project work.
    • Assist in preparation of Letters of Award and in the review of vendor BOQs and.
    • Coordinate and arrange travel related matters as well as prepare travel claims.
    • Organise and maintain project management office files and documentation i.e. test results, survey reports, inventory and as-built diagrams.
    • Career development; developing on – the – job skills and acquiring training relevant to assigned duties.

    Person Specification
    Educational Qualification:

    • HND / BSc in Telecommunication / Electronic / Computer Engineering or equivalent.
    • Project Management certification will be an added advantage

    Work Experience:

    • A minimum of 5years of experience in network operations/project management
    • Knowledge of Integration/ enterprise implementation and service provisioning
    • LAN troubleshooting and IP address management

    Skills and Attributes:

    • Result- oriented, self-driven with a clear focus on high quality and business profit.
    • Project and relationship management skills.
    • Excellent communications skills, both written and oral including report writing skills.
    • Strong influencing and negotiating skill.
    • Reliable, tolerant and determined and must also be an emphatic communicator.
