The company is seeking to hire a Project Engineer who will oversee construction projects from start to finish.
The candidate will be responsible for planning, organizing, and managing resources to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
S/he will work closely with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure that projects are executed according to plan.
The ideal candidate will also be responsible for bridging the gap between design and execution.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare, schedule, coordinate and monitor the assigned engineering projects.
Monitor compliance to applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards and specifications.
Interact daily with the clients to interpret their needs and requirements and represent them in the field.
Perform overall quality control of the work (budget, schedule, plans, personnel’s performance) and report regularly on project status.
Assign responsibilities and mentor project team.
Cooperate and communicate effectively with project manager and other project participants to provide assistance and technical support.
Review engineering deliverables and initiate appropriate corrective actions.
Manage project risk and identify opportunities for improvement.
Provide technical support to the project team and address any technical issues that might arise during construction.
Communicate project status to the project manager.
Coordinate all relevant drawings and ensure proper documentation.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction project management.
Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and regulations.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Proficient in project management software (e.g., MS Project, AutoCAD), with a strong understanding of engineering principles.
Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
Must be computer literate with sufficient knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Project.
