- The Program Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and managing the delivery of academic and professional development programs at the Business and Technology School. This role ensures programs are designed to align with industry needs, student career goals, and institutional objectives.
- In addition, the Program Manager ensuring seamless execution and operational excellence across all programs. This role oversees program workflows, partnerships, process optimisation, resource allocation, and cross-functional coordination to deliver high-quality outcomes on time and within budget.
- The Program Manager acts as the backbone of program delivery driving efficiency, scalability, and continuous improvement across the organisation.
- The Program Manager leads cross-functional coordination between academic, organisational partnerships, product, sales, growth and marketing, faculty, and industry partners to deliver high-quality, impactful learning experiences.
Key Responsibility
Planning, Strategy, Partnerships & Alignment
- Develop, organize, and manage programs that align with the school’s mission and strategic objectives.
- Define program scope, goals, milestones, success metrics, and deliverables in alignment with business priorities.
- Design and implement new program strategies to support long-term institutional growth.
- Coordinate and align cross-functional stakeholders (e.g., product, marketing, finance, HR) to ensure program success.
- Facilitate strong communication and collaboration across internal teams and external partners.
Program Management & Operations
- Oversee daily program operations, ensuring smooth execution across multiple initiatives.
- Plan, launch, and manage academic and career programs from initiation to completion.
- Develop, implement, and optimize standard operating procedures (SOPs) for efficient delivery.
- Ensure compliance with policies, accreditation standards, quality benchmarks, and stakeholder expectations.
- Manage school calendars, schedules, and resources to ensure smooth operations.
- Drive the launch and execution of special initiatives and pilot programs.
- Track and report overall program performance metrics
Cross-Team & Stakeholder Coordination
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on project requirements, deadlines, and timelines.
- Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure value delivery.
- Identify and initiate strategic partnerships with organizations that can enhance technical content and learning outcomes.
Learning & Development Support
- Coordinate and manage live class sessions to ensure programs run smoothly.
- Provide structured support to instructors, mentors, and students, including performance tracking through review frameworks.
- Serve as a bridge between students and faculty to ensure smooth communication and collaboration.
- Provide program-specific technical and administrative support, escalating LMS and payment issues where necessary.
- Collaborate with the Product and Partnerships teams to nurture highly skilled talent and ensure excellence in delivery.
Leads Acquisition & Retention
- Facilitate Clarity calls sessions with leads from paid-ads or organic channels to share our program value proposition and benefits.
- Manage the onboarding and off-boarding processes for learners across cohorts.
- Ensure sales, growth and marketing teams have the necessary programs creatives and support for sales and marketing initiatives.
Appointment Setting & Scheduling
- Conduct Needs Assessment Calls: Initiate contact with prospective students to understand their educational goals, background, and specific needs. Use a consultative approach to determine how the program aligns with their aspirations and convert them from leads to customers.
- Schedule and Manage Informational Sessions: Schedule confirmed, high-quality informational appointments for students with Program Advisors or themselves, using calendar management tools (e.g., Calendly, Google Calendar).
- Provide Program Information: Attend the initial appointment setting calls to clearly and accurately inform students about program details, curriculum, outcomes, and requirements, ensuring they have a foundational understanding before a deeper consultation.
- Confirm and Remind: Send detailed follow-up reminders (email/text) that include the appointment time, meeting link, and key points of discussion to ensure attendance and preparedness.
- Manage Scheduling Logistics: Proactively reschedule or redirect appointments based on student availability and ensure a seamless handoff to the appropriate Advisor.
Student Career Success & Monitoring
- Facilitate learner enrollment, onboarding, engagement, evaluations, and offboarding across cohorts.
- Track student progress in real time, proactively supporting learners at risk of falling behind.
- Monitor student performance to ensure academic, professional, and career growth.
- Protect learner data in compliance with NDPR and GDPR data protection regulations.
Faculty Performance
- Track and report faculty performance metrics, including teaching quality, student engagement, and curriculum delivery.
- Provide coaching, training, and professional development opportunities for faculty.
- Manage faculty schedules, program calendars, and resource allocation.
- Support continuous improvement in teaching quality and learner experience.
Program Operations & Execution
- Oversee daily program operations, ensuring smooth execution across multiple initiatives.
- Plan, execute, and oversee strategic programs from initiation to successful completion.
- Develop, implement, and optimize standard operating procedures (SOPs) for program delivery.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies, quality standards, and stakeholder expectations.
- Proficient in efficiently managing school calendars to ensure smooth operations and scheduling.
Programs Partnerships & New Initiatives
- Identify, build, and manage strategic partnerships with academic institutions, corporate partners, and industry networks.
- Drive program partnerships that create opportunities for internships, projects, and global exposure.
- Develop and launch new initiatives and pilot programs that expand the school’s reach and impact.
- Foster collaborations that enhance innovation in teaching, learning, and employability.
Curriculum Design & Development
- Design, review, and update business and technology curricula to ensure industry relevance.
- Develop competency-based learning objectives aligned with career pathways and employer needs.
- Ensure flexible delivery across online, hybrid, and in-person formats.
- Support faculty with instructional design and innovative teaching strategies.
- Evaluate curriculum effectiveness using student data, feedback, and market research.
- Research emerging trends in business, technology, and education to keep content future-ready.
Practical & Experiential Learning
- Design and implement hands-on learning experiences, including projects, internships, apprenticeships, and industry challenges.
- Lead innovation labs, hackathons, bootcamps, and applied research projects.
- Collaborate with faculty to embed labs, simulations, and experiential activities into courses.
- Continuously evaluate experiential programs using student outcomes and employer feedback.
- Align practical learning with global workforce trends and emerging technologies.
Industry & Career Integration & Partnerships
- Build partnerships with employers, startups, and industry leaders to support experiential education.
- Integrate entrepreneurship, innovation, and problem-solving into academic programs.
- Develop career readiness pathways, including workshops, mentorship, and certifications.
- Act as a bridge between academics, program management, and career services to ensure holistic student development.
Project Management & Change Management
- Manage program budgets, risks, issues, change log, learning log and dependencies with timely resolution.
- Implement tools and systems that enable transparency and effective program tracking.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives for scalability, efficiency, and effectiveness.
- Support change management efforts to ensure adoption and sustainability of programs.
Marketing, Branding & Sales Enablement
- Collaborate with marketing to create program creatives, content, and campaigns that drive acquisition, retention and revenue.
- Provide program insights, outcomes, and success stories for use in recruitment and admissions.
- Partner with sales/admissions teams to deliver curriculum briefs, value propositions, and student success narratives.
- Represent programs at events, webinars, and conferences to strengthen brand credibility and reach.
Performance Monitoring & Reporting
- Track program performance against KPIs, budgets, timelines, and risk factors.
- Develop program plans, progress reports, and dashboards for leadership visibility.
- Lead program reviews, retrospectives, and reporting to ensure accountability and continuous improvement.
- Use data-driven decision-making to refine and optimize programs for greater impact.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, Project pr Program Management, or related field (Master’s desirable).
- 2:1 CGPA Minimum
- 3-6 years of experience managing programs within the learning and development, Edtech, software development, or other related field.
- Good knowledge of the latest Learning & Development trends with the zeal to educate and empower Africans.
- Good knowledge of Learning Management Systems.
- Strong process design, workflow optimisation, and operational excellence background.
- Proven ability to manage budgets, resources, and vendor relationships.
- Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
- Proven track record of operational excellence managing programs, new program initiatives.
- Proficiency in program management tools (e.g., Asana, Jira e.t.c).
- Strong analytical and reporting skills, with attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with competing priorities.
