    Program Officer

    Job Description

    • We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Program Officer to support the planning, implementation, monitoring, evaluation, and reporting of ACE-1 project activities across the state.
    • The successful candidate will ensure high-quality delivery, financial accountability, and effective stakeholder engagement in line with donor expectations and project targets.
    • Key responsibilities include developing and reviewing monthly and quarterly work plans, preparing activity memos, and ensuring at least 90% of planned activities are executed within approved timelines and budgets.
    • The Program Officer will conduct monthly joint field monitoring visits, generate actionable reports, and oversee RFI implementation, cluster-level documentation, and archiving.
    • Additionally, the role involves tracking and reviewing program expenditures, initiating corrective actions for deviations beyond ±10%, and submitting monthly pipeline and expenditure analysis reports.
    • The candidate will maintain up-to-date monitoring checklists and budget tracking tools, facilitate advocacy and coordination meetings with key stakeholders, and produce a monthly stakeholder bulletin.
    • Accurate and timely reporting is essential, including monthly, quarterly, and annual progress reports, as well as maintaining organized electronic archives of all project documentation.
    • The Program Officer will also provide HR management support by updating the State Ad hoc Personnel database and ensuring completeness and accuracy.

    Minimum Recruitment Standard

    • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree (BS/BA) in Public Health, Project Management, Business Administration or a recognized equivalent with 3-5 years of relevant experience with international development programs.
    • Or MS/MA degree in public health, project management, business administration or a recognized equivalent with 2-3 years relevant experience with international development programs.
    • Demonstrated success in multicultural environments is required.
