As Program Manager at IDH. You are responsible for leading and overseeing the development, implementation, and management of various programs in Value Chain Transformation Business Unit and under the Cassava Youth Agripreneur Program (Y-CAP), ensuring that all contractual agreements with implementing partners and donors are met, and both IDH objectives and procedures are adhered to.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the design, development, and execution of program strategies and activities.
Oversee technical work, ensuring alignment with organizational and program goals.
Support the development of technical guidelines and solutions to meet specific program requirements.
Oversee day-to-day operations and work with project partners, ensuring efficient and effective program delivery.
Responsible for proposal development, seeking necessary approvals for contracting
Responsible for generating donor reports and alignment of Partners reports to donor requirements
Support the coordination of the inception phase of the program, design interventions, and SME projects with team.
Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the Country Director/Director of Programs from time to time based on the evolving needs of the program.
Manage budgets, monitor financial performance, and ensure compliance with financial and administrative policies.

What you bring:
Bachlor’s degree in economics, business-related discipline, agriculture, or natural resource management.
5-7 years of relevant working experience in the private and civil sectors. Experience working with international organisations will be an advantage
Proven track record in stakeholder management and building international partnerships.
An understanding of smallholder farmer business models, and experience of working with Agri SMEs and smallholder farmers from a commercialisation point of view
Proven project management experience across various stages of project development, implementation, and delivery of agricultural value chain projects.
Strong understanding of sustainable agriculture, natural resource management, and related frameworks.
Excellent convening, facilitation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to work across different cultures.
Proficiency in project management tools
Strong report writing skill of donor funded projects.
Willingness to travel frequently, both domestically and internationally.
Strong IT skills in Microsoft business packages, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
Strong communication, and facilitation skills. Fluency in spoken and written English
