    Program Coordinator-Education and Livelihood

    Job Summary

    Legend Golden Care Foundation(LGCF) a not-for-profit organisation is seeking to hire a highly motivated and qualified candidate to fill in the position of a full-time Program Coordinator- Education and Livelihood  in Abuja. We work between 9:00 am to 5:00 pm WAT.

    Under the direct supervision of the Program Manager, the program coordinator will develop and handle program activities that effectively meets the objective of the Education and Livelihood department and provide technical oversight and management of all STEM projects. This position’s holder will  manage, coordinate and oversee the Education and Livelihood new and existing programs 

    Key Duties and Responsibilities

    • S/he will plan the delivery of Education and Livelihood Program in accordance with the mission and objectives of the organisation
    • S/he will facilitate training on desktop publishing, web development, data analysis, digital marketing, cyber security, and product management  .
    • S/he will prepare grant proposals, budgets, reports including reports on financial situations of projects  in line with the outputs and activities agreed in the annual work plan, monitoring and evaluation plan,  other design documents
    • S/he will prepare budget revision as needed and ensure timely submission of deliverable
    • S/he will build and maintain relationships and dialogue between key stakeholders. 
    • S/he will coordinate effectively and efficiently the implementation of all programs activities as well as supervising the project and its staff.
    • S/he will work closely with the PR and Communications officer to ensure wide dissemination and visibility of  program achievements
    • S/he will participate in strategic planning, budgeting and forecasting.
    • S/he will manage administrative functions to ensure smooth and efficient operation of the department .
    • S/he will support the organisation's strategic alliances and partnerships.

    Qualifications/Requirements 

    • A bachelor's degree in Technology Education, Science Education  or any STEM related field
    • Must have a minimum of 3 - 5 years NGO experience in similar role       
    • Must be able to research and flag funding opportunities and also draft proposals
    • Proficiency with office, Google suite and at least one project management tools
    • Excellent written and  verbal communication skills and the ability to facilitate trainings
    • Ability to work without supervision and reminders 
    • Must be able to function well  in a team environment and have excellent interpersonal and people management skills.
    • Must have good problem solving and decision making skills
    • Must have hands on experience in project management, good organisational skills and ability to work with multiple and competing priorities
    • Must be able to develop relationships with various community, governmental and non-profits organisations to raise funds and awareness and build resources
    • Attention to details, think on the go and handle difficult situations in a professional manner
    • Proven record of interacting effectively with senior management 
    • Ability to take initiative, be motivated, detail-oriented and reliable
    • Must have good knowledge of Web development(CSS, html, Java Script), and  cyber security skills
    • Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially
