The Product Manager, Liability Products, is responsible for the development, management, and optimization of the bank’s liability product portfolio, including deposits, savings, current accounts, and other funding solutions.
This role focuses on driving customer acquisition, product innovation, revenue growth, and market competitiveness while ensuring compliance with regulatory and risk guidelines.
The Product Manager will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Risk, Operations, and Marketing, to enhance product offerings and deliver a superior customer experience.
Roles and Responsibilities
Develop and manage the bank’s liability product portfolio, ensuring alignment with the bank’s strategic objectives and market needs.
Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends and opportunities for product innovation.
Define product roadmaps, ensuring timely rollout of new products and enhancements.
Oversee the end-to-end product lifecycle, from ideation to implementation and post-launch performance monitoring.
Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product success and market penetration.
Develop pricing, bundling, and promotional strategies to optimize product profitability and customer acquisition.
Work closely with the Sales and Relationship Management teams to drive product adoption and increase the bank’s deposit base.
Ensure all liability products comply with regulatory requirements and internal risk policies.
Work closely with Risk, Compliance, and Legal teams to manage product-related risks and develop mitigation strategies.
Maintain proper documentation for all liability products, including policies, terms, and agreements.
Act as a key liaison between internal and external stakeholders to facilitate smooth product development and execution.
Provide training and support to Relationship Managers, Sales teams, and front-line staff on liability product features and benefits.
Gather customer insights and feedback to continuously improve product offerings and enhance the customer experience.
Experience and Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field. A Master’s degree or relevant professional certification (e.g., CFA, PMP) is an added advantage.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in product management, preferably within the banking or financial services industry.
Strong understanding of liability products, deposit mobilization strategies, and market dynamics.
Proven experience in market research, product development, and financial analysis.
