Procurement Officer at Ports and Terminal Operators Nigeria Limited

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
• The following professional certifications will be an added advantage: Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS) Certified Purchasing and Supply Professional (CPSP) Nigerian Institute of Purchasing and Supply Management (NIPSM)

EXPERIENCE

• Minimum of 3-5 years proven experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management.
• Experience in sourcing suppliers, negotiating contracts, and managing vendor relationships.
• Knowledge of inventory management and procurement procedures.

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems (e.g., Sage, SAP, Oracle).
• Good knowledge of market trends and supplier management. Ability to prepare procurement reports and maintain accurate records.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills. High level of integrity and attention to detail.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Sound knowledge of procurement laws, policies, and best practices.
• Strong computer skills, especially in Microsoft Excel, Word, and procurement management systems.
