The Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will have:
- A degree in Education, Primary Education Studies or a related discipline.
- A minimum of three years\' post-NYSC teaching experience with primary-aged pupils, preferably within a British or international curriculum setting.
- Strong subject knowledge across the primary curriculum, particularly in English, Mathematics and Science.
- Excellent classroom management skills with the ability to establish a purposeful, respectful and engaging learning environment.
- Excellent written and spoken English, with the ability to communicate effectively with pupils, parents and colleagues.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and confidence using digital tools to support teaching, learning and administration.
- A sound understanding of assessment, pupil progress tracking and effective feedback practices.
- A clear understanding of safeguarding responsibilities and a commitment to pupil welfare and protection.
- A genuine passion for teaching, learning and holistic pupil development.
- TRCN certification will be considered an added advantage.
- Applicants must reside in Ibadan and be able to commute conveniently to Jericho.
The Role
The Primary Teacher will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and creating a structured, engaging and supportive learning environment that promotes both academic excellence and personal development.
Key responsibilities include:
- Planning and delivering engaging lessons in line with the school’s curriculum and academic standards.
- Assessing, monitoring and supporting pupil progress through accurate marking, feedback and appropriate intervention.
- Creating and maintaining a well-organised, stimulating classroom environment that promotes learning and independence.
- Maintaining high expectations for behaviour, effort and achievement at all times.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues and communicating effectively with parents to support pupil success.
- Contributing positively to the wider life, culture and values of the school.
Remuneration
₦130,000 – ₦170,000 per month, depending on experience and suitability for the role.
Start Date
This position is for a September 2026 start.
