The Physics Lecturer will deliver high-quality instruction to students in the field of Physics, ensuring a strong theoretical and practical foundation. The role involves teaching, facilitating laboratory sessions, evaluating student performance, and contributing to curriculum development. The lecturer will support the academic growth of students by providing guidance and participating in faculty activities. The ideal candidate is an innovative educator with IT skills and a commitment to excellence in science education.
Responsibilities
Facilitate students’ learning and contribute to curriculum development.
Coordinate classroom and laboratory activities, evaluate student learning and maintain academic records and attendance.
Develop scholarly pedagogic outputs such as syllabi, homework assignments and handouts.
Promote collegiality within the academic community by serving on committees, participating in faculty and staff meetings and departmental activities.
Stay current in the academic discipline through professional development opportunities.
Be available for academic support outside of the classroom.
Other responsibilities may be assigned.
Qualifications and Skills
B.Sc. in Physics.
Must possess a Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE).
Minimum of 2 years teaching experience
Demonstrated IT competence and ability to use technology for teaching.
