    Operations Pharmacist (Managed Care)

    Job Overview

    • The Pharmacist is responsible for managing and processing prescription orders accurately and efficiently for beneficiaries within the system. This role ensures timely order fulfillment, compliance with regulatory requirements, and excellent service delivery to clients and healthcare partners.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Review and validate prescriptions received from healthcare providers for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with legal and ethical standards.
    • Ensure correct medication selection, dosage, and dispensing instructions before processing orders.
    • Process orders through the beneficiary management system, ensuring timely approval and dispatch.
    • Verify product availability and coordinate with the inventory team to prevent stock-outs or delays.
    • Track backorders and follow up to ensure timely fulfillment of prescriptions.
    • Ensure all orders and dispensing processes comply with requirements
    • Maintain accurate records of prescriptions, approvals, and transactions in line with SOPs.
    • Monitor order turnaround time and implement process improvements for efficiency.
    • Handle and resolve prescription-related queries, escalations, and discrepancies.

    Qualifications & Experience:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy (B.Pharm) and Pharmacist Council of Nigeria (PCN) license.
    • Minimum of 1 year post NYSC experience in pharmaceutical operations, retail pharmacy, or beneficiary management (preferably within distribution or managed care environment).
    • Strong knowledge of prescription processing systems and regulatory requirements.
