    Operations Lead

    Summary

Iyewo is a mission-driven health venture building accessible, affordable pathways to care for under-served communities in Nigeria. From market pop-ups to home visits, we’re pioneering flexible healthcare delivery that meets people where they are — literally. As we move from pilot to scale, we’re looking for an entrepreneurial operator who wants to build systems that transform how care is delivered.

We’re seeking a hands-on, strategic Operations Lead who will serve as the Founder’s right hand — managing day-to-day delivery while helping shape our growth trajectory. You’ll move between high-level strategic planning and roll-up-your-sleeves execution. This is not a desk job; it\\\'s a role for a doer, builder, and systems thinker who thrives in ambiguity and is passionate about health equity.

Iyewo is at a critical inflection point. Our founder has built strong early traction. Now we need someone to help translate vision into reliable, repeatable operations — someone who sees themselves as a partner, not just a manager. If you want to help shape what accessible healthcare could look like across Nigeria — this is your moment.

    Job Description

    Service Delivery Management

    • Oversee day-to-day coordination of our Market Health and Home Health offerings.
    • Ensure client experiences are smooth, respectful, and efficient — from booking to service to follow-up.
    • Manage scheduling, logistics, and task assignment across medical and non-medical teams.

    Systems & Workflow Development

    • Co-design and implement operating procedures (SOPs) for fieldwork, customer engagement, payments, inventory, and reporting.
    • Work with our tech advisors to pilot simple digital tools (e.g., WhatsApp integrations, Airtable trackers) to improve workflows.
    • Monitor and troubleshoot operational bottlenecks in real time.

    Team Coordination & Culture

    • Provide direct supervision and support to field staff, volunteers, and temporary workers.
    • Run weekly team check-ins and pulse check-ins to keep delivery aligned and morale high.
    • Embed a feedback culture and support training/onboarding of new hires.

    Strategy Execution

    • Translate high-level goals into weekly and monthly action plans with measurable targets.
    • Track performance against KPIs and surface risks or adjustments to the Founder early.
    • Support grant reporting and stakeholder updates with operational insights.

    You Might Be Right If...

    • You’ve led operations in a startup, social enterprise, or last-mile delivery business.
    • You’re comfortable designing a tracking sheet and coaching a community nurse in the same hour.
    • You take initiative but also understand when to consult, pause, or escalate.
    • You’re deeply committed to health access, social equity, or community-driven solutions.
    • 5–7 years of professional experience, ideally with 2+ years in a supervisory or operations role.
    • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple moving parts without dropping the ball.
    • Comfort with digital tools (e.g., Google Workspace, Airtable, Forms) and a willingness to learn new ones quickly.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills — able to motivate, clarify, and coordinate across stakeholders.

    Nice to Have

    • Prior experience in health, logistics, or a field-based operation.
    • Yoruba language skills (preferred, but not required).
    • Exposure to basic finance, budget tracking, or grant reporting
