Responsible for the operational execution of the Request-to-Pay process including logistics
Identify and understand requirements and needs of stakeholders (such as quantity, specifications and service levels) to forecast demand and evaluate accurate inventory levels
Source raw materials and finished goods and manage their inventory
Order imported products, based on ordering parameters such as stock policy, product shelf life, minimum ordering quantity, lead time etc
Monitor deliveries and any past due shipments in consultation with planning and warehouse team
Ensure supplier/service providers contracts are in place and valid
Build relationships with suppliers and manage their performance
Conduct routine supplier business reviews and evaluate supplier performance and compliance
Follow up and solve any existing and underlying supplier issues, including payment
Assist in Safety, Health and Environmental standards and to carry out duties and specific responsibilities in compliance with Safety Health and Environmental Policies and Procedures relating to warehouse and other operational activities
Responsible for supplier database rationalization and administration
Responsible for monthly reports such as savings, open orders and goods in transit management
Proactively look out for opportunities to implement continuous process improvement within supply chain
Key Qualifications and Experience
University Degree in a Business related field
Minimum of 3 years’ progressive experience in procurement and inventory management
Professional training or certification in procurement or supply management, inventory or demand and supply planning, preferably CIPS and/or APICS
Adequate SAP knowledge
Excellent analytical, communication and relationship management skills
Strong negotiation skills
Demonstrated business acumen and functional knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements and commercial understanding.
