    Office Assistant

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Greeting patients and visitors, registering them, and obtaining necessary personal and medical information.
    • Managing patient appointments and ensuring proper scheduling of consultations, tests, and treatments.
    • Organizing and maintaining patient records, ensuring they are accurate, confidential, and accessible.
    • Answering phone calls, responding to emails, and directing inquiries to the appropriate departments or personnel.
    • Assisting patients with billing inquiries, processing insurance information, and coordinating payment arrangements.
    • Entering patient information and medical data into the hospital's electronic health record (EHR) system.
    • Monitoring and ordering office and medical supplies to maintain sufficient inventory levels.
    • Assisting with the coordination of meetings, conferences, and events within the hospital.
    • Preparing and distributing internal memos, announcements, and reports.
    • Organizing and managing documents related to hospital operations, policies, and procedures.
    • Providing general information to patients and their families about hospital services and resources.
    • Assisting medical staff and other hospital personnel with administrative tasks as needed.

    REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS:

    • A Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field.
    • 2 years of experience.
    • Familiarity with medical terminology is beneficial, as it helps in understanding and accurately handling medical records.
    • Proficiency in using standard office software, EHR systems, and other hospital-specific software for data entry and management.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential for interacting with patients, medical staff, and other personnel.
    • Strong organizational skills to manage patient appointments, medical records, and office supplies effectively.
    • The ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently, especially in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
    • Adhering to strict confidentiality and privacy regulations related to patient information and medical records.
    • Maintaining a professional attitude and appearance when dealing with patients and colleagues.
