This is a full-time on-site role located in Abuja. As the Business Development Lead, the successful candidate will be responsible for initiating, developing, and implementing new business opportunities and partnerships for Sydani.
The role also involves conducting market research, donor fundraising, client relationship, developing proposals and presentations, and leading the organization's business development campaigns.
The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of working in a business development role within an NGO or other non-profit organization.
This is an external client facing role and candidate must show the ability to generate funds within the development and NGO space.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, International Development, related field or equivalent practical experience.
Minimum of 7-9 years in a business development or equivalent role with experience in all aspects of marketing, proposal development, capture and building/maintaining relationships with clients.
Experience in working with NGOs and/or non-profit organisations in business development, fundraising
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with proven experience in building and maintaining partnerships with clients.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail
Excellent written and oral communication skills, with strong presentation skills.
A demonstrated ability to work effectively and collaboratively within a diverse team environment with a results-based approach to delivering client-focused service.
