    Mills Maintenance Officer - Mechanical

    PURPOSE

    To lead end to end implementation of planned maintenance, preventive maintenance and remedial & repair works within maintenance department to ensure reliability and availability of all milling machines.

    THE JOB

    • Monitor the progress of all types of routine, breakdown and planned maintenance activities of all Mechanical equipment, components and installations.
    • Provide prompt response to breakdowns and resolve the issues as quickly as possible.
    • Update all records of maintenance activities for analysis and future reference.
    • Recommend new installations or modifications to improve plant control performance, replacement of defective, obsolete Mechanical equipment systems and subsystems.
    • Ensure RCA is carried out on breakdowns exceeding the set threshold and drive closing of developed actions from conducted RCA as well as document RCA records.
    • Promote and enforce maintenance safety protocols to prevent accidents and ensure the safety of employees.
    • Track resource utilization and effectiveness.

    THE PERSON MUST

    • Have outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
    • Ability to read and interpret services design.
    • Problem solving ability, developing creative, innovative and practical technical solutions.
    • Multi-tasking and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.
    • Be able to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
    • Be proficient with the use of Microsoft Office Suite (Specifically Excel) and Data Analysis.

    QUALIFICATION

    • B.Sc./HND in Mechanical Engineering.
    • Knowledge of milling technology will be an added advantage.

    EXPERIENCE

    • 3 years cognate experience.
