Mechanical Engineer - Rentals (Lagos) at Mantrac Nigeria Ltd

JOB OUTLINE:

• Responsible to generate all design drawing, maintain existing ones, securing soft copies, transferring the CAD drawing into NC programme and ensuring that designs are given to the products.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Inspect, troubleshoot, and trace all Mechanical hults on of Caterpillar engines (Gas & Diesel), generator sets, machine systems and specialized units (e g. altronic magnetos etc.) reported for repair, maintenance, and servicing actions in the field
• Conduct inspection, load testing, PDS and comnlissioning of new Caterpillar equipment and ensure completion of
• DSR Forms before delivery is effected to Customers.
• Establish and enlist parts required for assigned jobs and follow up proinpt order and deliveryr_
• Use appropriate diagnostic tools to evaluate accurate pelfonnance of repaired components, units, and systems.
• Reads and interprets wiring diagram and specification_ mement all assigned Mechanical jobs (including electrolyte preparation and batter charging jobs).
• Interhces with relevant departments and site operator for any other issue
• Take proper care of all company's assets (tools, test equipment, vehicle etc) entmsted to his care
• Repon any difficult task to appropriate authorities for adequate attention and thus assist management in taking accurate repair decisions as the need arise.
• Prepare necessary documents and savice repo-Its (e.g. Delivery slips, SMS etc) both to customers and for management action as required.

PERSON SPECIFICATION:

• HND' First Degree in Mechanical Engineering field with 2 years of field experience.
• Good working knowledge of Catelpillar Electrics
• Sound and safe diving skills with valid driving license
