JOB OUTLINE:

• To effectively and efficiently carry out troubleshooting and field rqairs, maintenance and servicing of electrical equipment installations, generator sets, and other specialized units _
• To work with other relevant departments to get quality and timely job delivery to reduce downtime

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Inspect, troubleshoot, and trace faults 011 electrical modules and components of Catelpillar engines (Gas & Diesel), generator sets, machine systems and specialized units (e.g. altronic magnetos etc.) reported for repair, maintenance, and servicing actions in the field
• Conduct inspection, load testing, PDS and com_missioning of new Caterpillar equipment and ensure completion of
• DSR Forms before delivery is done to Customers.
• Establish and enlist parts required for assigned jobs and follow up for prompt order and delivery.
• Use appropriate diagnostic tools to evaluate accurate pelfonnance of repaired components, units and systems.
• Reads and intelprets wiring diagram and specification_ mement all assigned electrical jobs (including electrolyte preparation and batter charging jobs)
• Prepare single line diagram, electrical calculations, cable sizing, and specification for electrical materials _
• Interhces with relevant departments and site operator for any other issue
• Take proper care of all company's assets (tools, test equipment, vehicle etc.) entrusted to his care.
• Repcnt any difficult task to appropriate authorities for adequate attention and thus assist management in taking accurate repair decisions as the need arise.
• Prepare necessary documents and savice reports (e.g. Delivey slips, SINIS etc.) both to customers and for management action as required.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepares and supplies tools required for the workshop and field repairs as and when requested
• Responsible for the day-to-day Tooling booked in & out of the tool store.
• Enters all bcK'ked out tools into tile Tool management System (when applicable) and requisitions the goods according to the procedures sets _
• Re-enters the goods back into the store using the TCK'I Management system (when applicable) and places goods back into their locations _
• He will use appropriate issue and receipt register and follow-up mechanism to control the tools issue and receipts not equipped with the Tool Management System) _
• Advises supervisors/managers on outstanding tooling returns using the Tool management system (when otherwise keeps an apprcviate register
• He must ensure that all tools are properly kept, their location and pan numbers easily identified
• He repolls immediately any losses or damages that have cecurred on tools using the tool damage
• He will check tools and tool goups when he receives them back for proper operation and any damage _
• Engraves all Tooling with the necessaiy location or Toolbox No.
• He is responsible to receive new tools to record & locate them into the Tool Management System (unlen applicable) and keep them in appropriate locations _
• Responsible for the house keeping of the Tool store and equipment
• Receives parts, stores, and confirms parts received from main warehouse.
• Ensure that Parts dispatched to Savice personnel are correct and conform to the actual Job Nurnber_
• Issue waybills on all tools & parts that leave the premises.
• Be requested to work after normal working hours should the business requirement need your attendance.
