    Sales Officer

    Job Description

    Oxygen is a leading microfinance institution committed to providing accessible financial services to individuals and businesses across Nigeria. 

    The Opportunity

    We are seeking dynamic, results-driven Sales Officers to join our growing team across our branches in 18 states of Nigeria. As a Sales Officer at Oxygen, you will play a crucial role in driving our loan disbursement targets while building lasting relationships with our customers and maintaining high-quality portfolio performance.

    Key Responsibilities

    Loan Acquisition & Disbursement

    •  Actively source, prospect, and onboard qualified customers who meet Oxygen's lending  criteria
    •  Conduct thorough customer assessments to evaluate creditworthiness and loan eligibility
    •  Process loan applications accurately and efficiently in accordance with company policies
    •  Achieve monthly and quarterly loan disbursement targets
    •  Ensure all required documentation is complete and compliant before disbursement
    •  Customer Relationship Management
    •  Maintain regular contact with disbursed customers to monitor loan performance
    •  Proactively follow up with customers to ensure timely loan repayments
    •  Identify early warning signs of potential defaults and take preventive action
    •  Provide ongoing financial advisory and support to customers throughout the loan lifecycle
    •  Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships to encourage repeat business

    Portfolio Quality Management

    •  Maintain a Portfolio at Risk (PAR) ratio of less than 5%
    •  Implement effective collection strategies for overdue accounts
    •  Ensure accurate and timely reporting of loan performance

     Requirements

     Education & Experience

    •  Minimum of OND/HND/Bachelor's degree in any discipline
    •  1-3 years of experience in sales, lending, microfinance, or customer-facing roles
    •  Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
    •  Experience in loan recovery or collections is an advantage

    Skills & Competencies

    • Strong sales and negotiation skills
    • Excellent customer service and interpersonal abilities
    • Good understanding of credit assessment and risk management
    • Strong follow-up and organizational skills
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
    • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
    • High level of integrity and ethical conduct
    • Self-motivated, results-driven, and detail-oriented
    • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

    Benefits

    Competitive Compensation Package:

    •  Probationary Period (3 months): ₦120,000 net monthly salary + transportation allowance
    •  After Confirmation: ₦150,000 net monthly salary + transportation allowance
    •  Quarterly Bonus: 50% of monthly salary when KPIs are met and PAR is below 5%
    •  Performance Commission: 2% commission on disbursements exceeding monthly targets
    •  Monthly training and professional development programs

    Disbursement Targets:

    • First month: ₦4,000,000
    • Subsequent months: ₦5,000,000
