    Managing Director / Chief Executive Officer (MD/CEO)

    Description 

    • The Managing Director/CEO will be at the helm of the bank’s strategic leadership, responsible for shaping the institution's long-term growth trajectory.
    • The successful candidate will drive financial performance through meticulous credit risk management, effective loan disbursement strategies, and robust operational frameworks.

    Responsibilities

    • Strategic Planning & Execution: Develop and implement the bank’s long-term vision, ensuring alignment with shareholder expectations and market needs.
    • Credit Management: Oversee credit policies, ensuring prudent risk analysis,
    • creditworthiness assessments, and the integrity of the bank’s loan disbursement process.
    • Financial Performance: Lead initiatives to optimize financial performance by driving loan growth, managing non-performing loans (NPLs), and ensuring consistent revenue generation.
    • Stakeholder Engagement: Represent the bank at high-level forums, engage with regulatory bodies, and strengthen relationships with investors and strategic partners.
    • Operational Oversight: Ensure the bank’s day-to-day operations run smoothly, balancing efficiency with service excellence.
    • Leadership Development: Cultivate a culture of accountability, performance, and growth by mentoring senior leaders and fostering talent development across the organization.
    • Risk & Compliance: Ensure the bank adheres to all regulatory requirements, internal controls, and governance standards.

    Qualifications

    • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Banking, Economics, or related discipline. An MBA, CFA, or relevant postgraduate qualification is highly desirable.
    • Experience: Minimum of 12 years of progressive leadership experience in banking, with at least 7 years in a senior executive role within the microfinance or broader financial services sector.
    • Expertise in Risk Management: Proven track record in credit risk assessment, loan portfolio management, and loss mitigation strategies.
    • Strategic Leadership: Demonstrated ability to drive growth through strategic planning, business development, and financial management.
    • Regulatory Knowledge: Deep understanding of regulatory requirements governing microfinance banking operations and financial services.
