Husk is seeking the Regional Territory Manager is responsible for end-to-end operations of solar mini-grid sites within the assigned territory, ensuring reliable power supply to customers, operational excellence, revenue protection, customer satisfaction, and compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities:
Power Supply & Plant Operations
- Ensure 24x7 reliable power supply to customers across all mini-grid sites in the territory.
- Monitor plant performance (generation, battery health, inverter performance).
- Ensure adherence to SLA, uptime, and availability targets.
- Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
- Oversee commissioning, testing, and handover of new sites.
Customer Power Supply & Service Management
- Ensure consistent and quality power supply to residential, commercial, and anchor customers.
- Address customer complaints related to power outages, voltage issues, or metering.
- Coordinate with customer support teams to resolve escalations.
- Support new customer connections, load upgrades, and demand expansion.
- Ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
Revenue Protection & Energy Accounting
- Ensure accurate energy generation, consumption, and billing reconciliation.
- Monitor losses, theft, bypass, or meter tampering.
- Support collections and revenue assurance initiatives.
- Coordinate with finance for reconciliation of energy, revenue, and fuel (if hybrid).
Safety, Compliance & Quality
- Ensure compliance with HSE, electrical safety, and operational SOPs.
- Conduct safety audits and toolbox talks.
- Ensure regulatory and statutory compliance at site level.
- Maintain documentation, reports, and audit readiness.
Asset & Inventory Management
- Oversee inventory of spares, tools, batteries, and consumables.
- Coordinate with warehouse and procurement teams for material availability.
- Ensure proper asset tagging and lifecycle management.
Reporting & Stakeholder Coordination
- Prepare and share daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports.
- Track KPIs such as uptime, outages, customer complaints, and revenue.
- Coordinate with internal teams (Engineering, Finance, Procurement, Customer Service).
- Act as the primary point of contact for regional operational matters.
- Responsible for managing and ensuring security standards at the plant and enable quick turnaround time for action in case of security issues.
- Responsible for management of spares and inventory components based on criticality and lifecycle of the components.
- Responsible for managing fuel supply chain and stock for Diesel generators and Biomass gasifiers.
General Skills & Attributes
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical/mechanical / Renewable Energy Engineering.
- 5–8 years of experience in solar mini-grids, power distribution, or utility operations.
- Strong understanding of solar PV, batteries (Li-ion/Lead Acid), inverters, EMS, and distribution networks.
- Experience managing remote or rural power infrastructure preferred.
- Experience working in dynamic high-growth entrepreneurial/start-up organizations.
- Team player and prior experience in the management of large, decentralized teams.
- Very proactive, with deep commercial acumen, and high level of “customer centricity”
- Problem-solving ability and prior experience in the management of mass-scale deployments with digital platforms.
- You have no issues working in (and living around) rural Nigeria.
