Manager - Fraud Management at MTN Nigeria

Reports To: Senior Manager - Business Assurance Support

Mission

• Make visible and control in all business areas external subscriber fraud to agreed business acceptable levels.

Description

• Develop and implement business and strategy plan for Fraud Management.
• Plan, prioritise and co-ordinate the work of the subscriber fraud operations team.
• Take ownership of the fraud management system, identify and deliver business case and requirements for future system integration and delivery.
• Develop business awareness of the subscriber fraud team and obtain business buy-in to methodologies and strategies.
• Research, document, and implement industry best practices regarding fraud prevention and detection.
• Develop and establish external fraud detection policy, processes, and procedures.
• Develop, maintain, document, and ensure implementation of a subscriber fraud referral process.
• Develop and implement measurable fraud prevention controls.
• Report on fraud levels and loss to the business.
• Develop process and procedure to identify departmental workload versus resources with a view to ensuring adequate utilization of resources.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives to proactively prevent fraud and implement changes that can enhance detection and/or deter future subscriber fraud behavior.
• Develop and document current/future policies, procedures and processes that impact fraud departmentally.

Requirements

Education:

• First degree in any related discipline 
• Fluent in English
• Possession of a professional qualification.

Experience:

• 6 - 13 years’ experience which includes:
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in an area of specialisation; with experience in supervising/managing others
• Experience working in a medium to large organization. 
• Fraud Operational and/or Fraud Policy experience.
