    Legal Officer

    • We are seeking a competent and detail-oriented Legal Officer to provide legal support and ensure the hotel operates in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. The ideal candidate will handle legal documentation, advise management on legal matters, and mitigate risks associated with business operations.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Provide legal advice to management on operational, contractual, and regulatory matters.
    • Draft, review, and manage contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.
    • Ensure compliance with local laws, labor regulations, and industry standards.
    • Handle legal disputes, claims, and liaise with external legal counsel when necessary.
    • Monitor changes in laws and regulations that may affect hotel operations.
    • Support HR in handling disciplinary matters, employee contracts, and labor-related issues.
    • Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping of all legal matters.
    • Represent the organization in legal proceedings when required.
    • Conduct risk assessments and recommend measures to minimize legal exposure.
    • Provide guidance on corporate governance and compliance policies.

    Qualifications & Skills:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Law (LL.B); BL qualification and call to the Bar is required.
    • Minimum of 1-2 years of relevant legal experience (hospitality or corporate experience is an advantage).
    • Strong knowledge of Nigerian laws, labor regulations, and corporate governance.
    • Excellent drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
    • High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work independently and manage multiple legal matters effectively.
