    Legal Executive

    Job Description

    • The Legal Executive is responsible for providing legal support to the organization by preparing legal documents, handling compliance matters, liaising with external solicitors, and ensuring that company operations adhere to all applicable laws and regulations.
    • The role involves drafting, reviewing, and managing contracts, legal correspondence, and other documentation while offering practical legal advice to management.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents to ensure compliance with applicable laws.
    • Provide legal advice and support to management and various departments on business decisions and company policies.
    • Ensure compliance with statutory obligations and assist in filing necessary regulatory documents with relevant authorities (e.g., CAC, regulatory agencies).
    • Maintain and update the organization’s legal records, agreements, and contract database.
    • Liaise with external legal counsel and manage litigation matters when necessary.
    • Conduct legal research on relevant laws, regulations, and judicial precedents affecting the company’s operations.
    • Assist in the preparation and review of board resolutions, meeting minutes, and other corporate governance documents.
    • Support in managing intellectual property (trademarks, copyrights, etc.) and ensuring proper registration and protection.
    • Monitor legislative changes that may affect the company and advise management accordingly.
    • Participate in due diligence exercises and support corporate transactions (e.g., mergers, acquisitions, or partnerships).

    Education

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LL.B) and a Barrister-at-Law (B.L) qualification from the Nigerian Law School.
    • Minimum of 2–3years relevant post-call experience, preferably in Real Estate.

    Skills:

    • Strong understanding of corporate, commercial, and contract law.
    • Excellent legal drafting and communication skills.
    • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
    • Proficiency in legal research and use of digital legal databases.
    • Ability to work under pressure and maintain confidentiality at all times.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Good interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate across departments.
    • Ethical, professional, and proactive in handling responsibilities.

    Remunerations
    NGN250,000 - NGN300,000 Monthly net.
