Ensure conformity with Group and legislative safety directives and rules pertaining to Company Marine operations
Establish and provide Vessel planning in order to cope with operational requirements
To schedule, organise, direct and control all day-to-day Marine activities in a safe and efficient manner ensuring added value opportunities are maximised and optimising customer satisfaction.
Responsible for accurate completion of all shipping documents and load lists
Display the computer system SAP for the outgoing and return material (Manifest)
Ensure that all sites are supplied on time with material, fuel oil, kerosene, water, food
Liaise with suppliers and contractors of bulk cargo for the purpose of loading / unloading of vessels
Liaise with Marine Superintendent and Logistics Superintendent regarding Vessels & Marine operations and Vessels planning and unloading/loading operations.
Coordinate operations with Drilling, Exploration and Production entities
Maintenance of records (Vessel daily report) and statistics to ensure accurate reporting with KPI, these records being used for cost allocation and invoice checking.
Ensure that contractors are following and complying with DGEP rules.
Job Requirements
B.Sc or HND in Engineering or Management
Minimum of 3 years experience in quayside and a suitable general knowledge in Oil Industry Marine Logistics.
Fully conversant with the relevant Marine legislation and practices
High level of organisational and planning skills
Ability to react logically and decisively to constantly changing operational requirements which may have a high cost or safety impact
First line supervision and coaching of junior members of staff
Possess an up to date knowledge of all developments in Nigerian marine legislation, technical innovations, market developments and performance levels. Keep line management advised and monitor same
Good knowledge on transportation of Dangerous Goods by Sea
Profile: Teambuilding awareness, leadership, multicultural awareness, environmental awareness, organization, anticipation skills, good command of English and computer literate
Should be very conversant with the use of Windows pack-office, with a minimum competency of intermediate level in the use of Microsoft excel.
